Lucy has created and delivered curriculum material for some of the most innovative technology companies in the world, and has been awarded the distinctions of Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Teacher. Educational Technology Coaching
Lucy is currently serving as a professional development coach for two mobile learning pilot projects. She meets periodically with teachers in a high school district and an elementary school to explore the potential of mobile learning and to help support the needs of participating students.
Previously, Lucy has worked with Mercy HIgh School as their 1:1 device program transitioned from PC tablets to iPads.
The Global Education Conference
Co-founded by Lucy and Steve Hargadon, The Global Education Conference is a virtual, world-wide community initiative involving students, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for building education-related connections around the globe while supporting cultural awareness and recognition of diversity. The Global STEMx Education Conference
STEMxCon is the world’s first massively open online conference for educators focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and more. The conference will be held over the course of three days, September 19-21, 2013, and will be free to attend.
The Consortium for School Networking
Lucy currently serves as the Project Director for CoSN’s newest leadership initiative, Leadership for Mobile Learning. The primary objective of this project is to highlight leadership, research, and best practices for using mobile learning devices as effective tools in teaching and learning. The development of strategies and tools to support the effective deployment of mobile learning technologies in school districts will also be a focus of this initiative.
